Living in an Unfinished Housing Estate
Unfinished housing developments are an issue of national importance and a high priority for Government. Previously, Unfinished Housing Developments were identified to fall under 4 Categories. This system has been updated and is now more focussed on the physical condition of a development rather than who was / is present on site.
Developments (or parts of developments) will now typically fall under two headings:
1. Incomplete developments with outstanding housing construction or infrastructure works or both (essentially integrating ‘old’ categories 1 and 2).
2. Unfinished housing development, or any part thereof and the individual dwellings concerned that, in the opinion of that local authority, are in a seriously problematic condition (essentially integrating ‘old’ categories 3 and 4).
