New Dwelling Completions

Description

A new dwelling completion (NDC) is a self-contained unit of living accommodation that has been recently constructed. When analysing data on NDC's, differentiating dwellings by the type of unit can be helpful in assessing density, which has become a particularly important issue in today's housing market.

This sub-section presents data on the total number of new dwellings completed quarterly and annually in Ireland. The data is assessed by three dwelling types - Scheme Houses, Single Dwellings and Apartments. The sub-section also provides data on commenced purpose built student accommodation over a quarterly basis.
