The Housing Agency's Built Environment section has a full technical team which includes architects, engineers, project managers, quantity surveyors and technologists. The team is experienced in site assessment, social housing design and construction, regeneration, infill, urban design and public realm improvement and upgrade projects from feasibility through to completion and handover.
We are available to assist selected Local Authorities and Approved Housing Bodies in delivering their own new-build housing. The section offers independent guidance and advice in relation to construction-related procurement, design, and contract administration, with particular reference to the requirements of the Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF) published by the Office of Government Procurement (OGP).
We have specific expertise, knowledge and experience in the planning, design and construction of social and affordable housing and have worked with Local Authorities and Approved Housing Bodies across Ireland on a broad range of housing projects throughout Ireland.
The section is fully familiar with the Capital Assistance Scheme (CAS) and Social Housing Investment Programme (SHIP) processes and offers assistance to ensure that processes are completed in accordance with the relevant Department guidance.
